Eco-house opens its doors

The first ever Eco-house to be built in Spain has opened its doors at La Romana on the Costa Blanca.The modern single storey house was created by Marhal International.
The house was designed to offer a balance between modern living and a consideration for the environment. It is the only one to receive a certificate from the "Instituto Valenciano de la Edification. The efficient use of natural resources and the recycling of waste were taken into account when awarding the certificate.
At 270,000€ the Eco-house includes designer furniture, stylish accessories and decor and of course has every green feature possible built in. A 70 per cent reduction in heat loss is allowed for with the insulation in the ceilings,floors,walls and windows compared to a standard house. Other "green" features include solar panels, LED lighting,water pressure reducers, taps with flow reducers, class "A" appliances, toilets using 30 per cent less water when flushed.
The first Eco friendly 2 bedroom house has arrived here on the Costa Blanca.
